Thomas was crowned best footballer at the inaugural Ghana Football Awards gala that took place Sunday at the Marriot Hotel in Accra

Atletico Madrid's attacking midfielder defeated Albert Adomah and Jordan Ayew, who have had good seasons. Aston Villa in the English league and the English Premier League, respectively.

Thomas Partey had a great season with Atletico Madrid, helping him to finish second in the La Liga and to win the triumph of the UEFA Europa League when the Madrid club beat Marseille in the grand finale.
