– Former President John Dramani Mahama also supported the demonstration

The Kum y3n pr3ko demonstration organized by the Coalition for Social Justice is under way in Accra.

According to Starr News, protesters gathered at Obra Spot while waiting for directions on their route.

Speaking during an interview with press men, the main organizer of the protest, Bernard Mornah said the demonstration had been triggered by difficulties in the country, badociated with attacks against the media.

On Monday, July 8, 2019, former President John Mahama declared his support for the march on Facebook.

"Our country is down, with an unbearable increase in the cost of living. citizens do not feel safe, yet the government continues to oppress and intimidate the public, including journalists.

"I welcome, approve and encourage all participants to go out tomorrow and join the protest # Kumy3npr3ko organized by the Coalition for Social Justice …," he said.

In other news, the information collected by YEN.com.gh he said the president had opposed Parliament's proposals to use $ 200 million for a new chamber.

According to a report seen by YEN.com.gh About Ghanaweb, the president said he was focusing on more priority projects for the country, hence his rejection of the proposal.

The president is committed to improving Ghana's roads, the education and training sector, agriculture, water and housing, rural development and many more, the report said.
