Ghanaian police confirmed that the three police officers implicated in an alleged badault on Ghanaian Times journalists have been banned.
A statement signed by the Director General of Police Public Affairs, ACP David Eklu, identified the culprits as Inspector Isaac Opare, sergeant. Ebenezer Akrofi and Lance Corporal Evans Kofi Ntim.
Last Thursday, March 14, 2019, police brutally badaulted three journalists of the Ghanaian Times newspaper.

The journalists were allegedly attacked by the police while on a mission.
The attacked journalists were identified as Malik Sullemana, a court reporter, Raissa Sambou, a general journalist, and Salifu Abdul Rahman, deputy editor.
According to reports, one of the police officers using an unregistered motorcycle reportedly hit the car carrying journalists from the Ghanaian Times.
The officer allegedly ignored the accident and went further by avoiding traffic.
The journalists then tried to record the ensuing exchanges, but their actions irritated the police officers who seized them and physically badaulted them.

"The Inspector General of Police ordered the immediate ban of the police officers mentioned below for their involvement in an alleged badault of Ghanaian Times journalists on 14 March 2019 in Accra,"Read a statement from the police.
"The Inspector General of Police also ordered the Regional Crime Manager in Accra to take over the investigation of the case from the police station of the ministries.
"He also asked Accra's Central Traffic Unit to take over the road accidents section. Both must submit their reports within a week,He added.
The National Media Commission and the Ghana Association of Journalists described the incident as "barbaric" and called for speedy investigations into the police administration and judicial authorities. wandering officers punished.
