Three Fulani herders are said to have attacked the residence of the mother of Chief Sunday Adeyemo alias Igboho this evening.
Two of the suspected intruders escaped while one was arrested and questioned by police.
According to Sunday Igboho spokesperson Mr. Olayomi Koiki, one of the herders said he was informed that Sunday Igboho would visit his mother in Igboho, which is why they came.
Koiki further said in a viral video that the alleged assailant was taken to Igboho Police Station for further questioning.
He said: “This evening around 7:54 pm, three Fulani men attacked the house of our mother, that is to say the mother of Chief Sunday Adeyemo alias Igboho. Two of the attackers were able to escape but we were able to choose one ”.
“During his interrogation, he said that they had been informed that Chief Igboho would come to see his mother. We took the man to Igboho police station for further questioning.
Just two days ago, three men, including two men dressed in military camouflage, were arrested on motorcycles when they allegedly spied on the residence of Chief Sunday Igboho in the Soka neighborhood of Ibadan.
One of the men believed to be Yoruba was fluent in the language.
Igboho cursed him saying, “All of you traitors among the Yoruba, God will expose you and you will continue to fail.”
