The Belgian international will offer an improvement to the midfield of Leicester as he continues his attempts to diversify away from the counter-attack
Yuri Tielemans was in the right place at the wrong time. Entering Monaco in the summer of 2017 was supposed to be his big step in the right direction.
He has long been considered the star of Belgian football and the champions of Ligue 1 should have been the ideal solution. But this summer, Monaco has been dug.

Once Moutinho was sold to the Wolves, Monaco simply did not have enough quality in the team. Thierry Henry, who replaced Jardim, was often forced to play with unproven young players before his stern dismissal last week.
As such, Tielemans had no one to play with.
He is a tempo setter; the kind of player that makes others play better. But he needs a functional unit around him. As has been proven with Monaco, he is the type of player who can fail in the wrong system.

He is comfortable to receive a pbad in the middle of the field with the back to the goal and excels in turning with the ball to the left or right. He has the knack for being able to miss the players in the middle of the field and this should help Leicester to tip the balance of the numbers further in the game. And if Tielemans is with a chance to hit the goal, wait for him to take it. He has a goal of threat of distance.
Tielemans may only be 21 years old but already has extensive experience. He started in the first team of Anderlecht at only 16 years old, like Romelu Lukaku before him, and the captain of the team when he won his second Belgian title at 20 years.

He won in the Belgian team Roberto Martinez for the World Cup last summer and signed his best victory in an international tournament, that is to say the victory against Brazil in the world.
Those who worked with Tielemans speak of a high-level mentality and describe him as a technically talented midfielder.
