Tiger Woods hits the drop zone after hitting his tee shot in the water on the 17th hole.
The iconic island of TPC Sawgrbad's No. 17 Stadium Course has turned the greatest golfer of his generation into a routine enthusiast at the second round of the PGA Tour's flagship event.
Tiger Woods has approached the t-shirt on number 17 at 5 under, just two shots into the Players Championship. He limped the island to 1 under, after a seventh disastrous bogey on the most famous, if not infamous hole in the PGA Tour.
The first two shots of Woods on the hole ended in the water and the resulting calamity left the winner of the Tour 80 humanized – not to say humiliated – in front of a packed gallery and a public in live and on television somewhat shocked.
Woods made a birdie in the first round hole at 121 yards, while fellow countryman Ryan Moore made a hole in one shot.

Ryan Moore won the famous Normal 3 in category 3 in the first round of the championship The Players.
From the drop zone, Tiger hit another in the water. This one bounced once before finding the water.
He found the green with his second shot from the drop zone. He had 20 feet to go for a triple, but missed. He doubled for the quadruple bogey seven.
It was his worst score on the hole in the PGA Tour game.
