Dr. Pimple Popper returns to television, with more dramatic (and disgusting) pops than ever before.
The TLC not for thirsty series began in 2018 and has become an unlikely success, as millions of people watch Dr. Sandra Lee tackle unpleasant skin issues. The new season starts on July 11 at 9am / 8c on TLC.

Dr. Lee's attacking his biggest cases so far
Lee's fame began when she posted a video of an extraction of black dots on Instagram. She saw an increase in interest in her content and soon discovered the world of "popaholics", including popping subreddit, which currently has more than 200,000 members. The doctor told GQ that she was "stunned" that such a subculture existed, but she also felt an opportunity.

During the next season, she will tackle such an important case that she must badociate with another doctor to perform the procedure at a local hospital.

"I really think [my videos] helping people [decide] to go see things, "she said during the interview with Self. "People will pop their pimples no matter what. I try to educate people on the right way to go. She added that she wanted to show people "that there are many non-contagious skin conditions, that people should not be judged for these conditions."
Lee said she saw her videos and shows as a way to "make dermatology known to the mbades."
"I think most people can not see a dermatologist – they do not have access to one, they do not have the money, or [they have] reasons for insurance. So people have a skin problem and they do not know what it is, "she told Self. "Access to correct information is difficult and that's what I was trying to fix."
