TOKYO, July 29 (Xinhua) – Tokyo shares opened slightly lower on Monday, the mediocre results of recently published companies have weighed on the market's mood.
At 9:15, the Nikkei Stock Average 225 numbered index lost 21.35 points, or 0.10%, of Friday to 21,636.80.
The broader Topix index of all first-round issues of the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 1.83 points, or 0.12%, to 1,569.69.
Electrical appliances, rubber products, and iron and steel problems were the ones that declined the most in the first few minutes after the morning bell.
