Queens Park Rangers took a monumental step this week after reaching 1,000 appearances in the community.

The Hoops are very proud of the work they do in the Loftus Road area, providing support in the areas of education, mental health, physical health, social care and more. again.

They were also instrumental in continuing the work of the Grenfell Tower disaster, providing support for people of all ages.

The club's charity branch, QPR in the Community Trust, hosts more than 300 sessions a week, with 23,000 people in the seven boroughs participating in the past year.

In the final appearance, Tomer Hemed, Ryan Manning and a number of under-23 players participated in a community event at PlayFootball near Loftus Road, allowing them to break 1,000 goals for the season.

It's quite a feat for the club and, speaking of QPR's work in the community, Hemed said it's good to see the west side of London give to a community that gives them so much support.

The QPR loan striker, Tomer Hemed, was the 1000th player to make an appearance in the community this season.

He said: "I am very happy to be here to take part in this extraordinary project.

"It's a special day for the kids but also for us to come here and part of that gives me a good feeling.

"I think it deserves it, the children here support the team, they come to the game to watch us and we can now make them feel part of the club and the team, I think it's very nice and special day for them.

"From my experience, I've never seen this kind of thing very often. When the club does something with the community – I think that in Brighton, it's also doing a good job – but for me, here in six months, I've seen players involved in many things with fans, with kids and with the community.

"I think it's very important, and the club knows how important it is to give back to the fans and the community after all the support we have throughout the season."
