Tom Cruise put the jet engines to Top Gun: Maverick, Surprising fans of Comic-Con with an appearance Thursday and the abandonment of the first heady trailer.

It seems like Maverick still feels the need for speed.
The flight sequence will kick the bad
Jon Hamm, who plays clearly in the caravan with a hardened naval officer under the icy glare of stone, was driving crazy aerial filming on Thursday, telling Collider that it was "mind-blowing".
"And it's mostly practical, there are not many CGs," Hamm said. "These guys are really in the airplanes and get thrown in several G."

The entire white and fully masculine fighting crew of the original is off. Maverick brings the first female pilot on board with Chicago Justice Monica Barbaro stars.
Barbaro will also play the loving interest of the character Miles Teller, a pilot in training. We see her wearing the protective helmet in the caravan and a much more diverse distribution scene.
Maverick may have a new love interest
We have a good look at the trailer of Jennifer Connelly, winner of an Oscar, who will play alongside Cruise in the female lead role. She is described as a single mother who has a bar near the base. Cruise confirmed the cast, promising that Connelly will be "incredible" in the film.
In the original movie, Maverick was famous for his work with an astrophysicist and a civilian Top Gun Charlotte "Charlie" Blackwood (Kelly McGillis), instructor. It seems like things did not work.
