Total Ghana Announces 16 Finalists for Startupper of the Year Challenge

Total Ghana has announced 16 finalists for the Startup Challenge of the Year.

The selection process for applications submitted by Total Challenge in Ghana at the beginning of the year 2018-2019 has been completed.

The projects were selected from more than 1197 entries, via a questionnaire and a "Share for Taste" voting phase, before being examined by social business professionals.

The 16 finalists will present their projects on February 8, 2019. They will be framed before being presented to a local jury.

At the conclusion of the final selection process, on February 8, 2019, the jury will announce the names of the three Total Challenge 2018-2019 Startup Award winners in Ghana, on March 1, 2019, at the of a festive event.

These young entrepreneurs will receive financial support of up to 90,000 GH ¢ for the first winner; 54 000 GH ¢ for the 2nd winner, 36 000 GH ¢ for the 3rd winner; personalized badistance and support of Total Petroleum Ghana Limited and communication campaign to publicize their project.

A prize among the finalists will also be awarded to one of the finalists in order to support his project. Prizes will be awarded at an official ceremony.

The beginning of the year 2018-2019 of Total Challenge, which took place simultaneously in 55 countries – including 37 in Africa, 11 in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East region, 4 in the Americas and 3 in Europe – reaffirms Total's commitment to social and economic development in host countries around the world. By helping innovative young entrepreneurs realize their projects, the Challenge strengthens the local social fabric.
