Shortly after the announcement of the presentation of the new Powerbeats Pro during a poster campaign Wednesday night, Apple also left the cat on his website. The new Beats wireless headphones will be released in May and will cost 250 euros. Similar to AirPods, Powerbeats are loaded through their own box, which has a battery and is also charged via a Lightning connection.

Powerbeats Pro with Apple H1 chip

Like the second generation of AirPods, an Apple H1 chip is also installed in the Powerbeats Pro. Compared to the W1 chip, the successor must be able to use a newer version of Bluetooth, a faster connection, and offer support for "Hey Siri" and offers more Telefonie-Akkulaufzeit solutions. However, no compatible Qi charging case for wireless charging is available for the Powerbeats 3.

Battery life longer than AirPods

Battery life is better than AirPods – this may be due to the larger case. Instead of about 5 hours of music playback, the Powerbeats Pro allows up to 9 hours. In conjunction with the charging case, the usage time without external power connection increases to 24 hours. The Powerbeats Pro, like their wired predecessor, have a hanger for better grip during sports activities.

Available in four colors from May

Another difference compared to AirPods: Powerbeats Pro are available in four different colors: ivory white, moss green, navy blue and black. More information on the new headsets is available directly in the Apple Online Store. An order is currently not possible.
