Tottenham Hotspur did not sign the attacker yesterday.
Tottenham's boss, Mauricio Pochettino, spoke to the media today, before his team's clash with Newcastle tomorrow, and asked if he was disappointed not to have signed Michy Batshuayi the day of the transfer, quoted by Football.London.
The Spurs have no longer engaged a player for more than a year and many club fans are unhappy with the lack of transfer activity from Pochettino.
It's hard to criticize Tottenham, though.
They have been just beautiful in recent years and are still looking for the Premier League title this season, with only seven points separating them from the league leader, Liverpool.
Pochettino spoke to reporters today and refused to admit that he was not at all satisfied with the options he had at his disposal.
"No, there were a lot of rumors and rumors, I can not talk about the different situation, we were waiting for different situations to happen, I do not think anything to say about this rumor, I think we were open to add players and quality to help us reach in three months to compete and achieve what we want, but we can not add this quality.
At the end of the day, Tottenham will be judged on what he's done in May and if he does not win the trophy once again, additional questions will be asked regarding the club's transfer policy.
