According to the pandit Andy Townsend.
The Spurs have been in contact with the Danish game maker for its future in North London for over a year, but little progress has been made.
In the current state of things, Eriksen will enter this summer with only 12 months to go and the Spurs will have to sell the 26-year-old player to prevent his value from falling. He could order more than 60 million pounds in July and August, but these fees would fall further.
Eriksen has been badociated with many European clubs, including Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, but Real Madrid would covet the Ajax Academy's graduate, alongside his ambition to recruit Eden Hazard in Chelsea.
Eriksen recently told TV3 Sport: "I think people know what I want and I know what they [Tottenham] would like. There is a beautiful dialogue so there is nothing [new] The."
But the iconic co-commentator and former Chelsea midfielder, Townsend, thinks Eriksen's mind is already decided, and he sees himself elsewhere.
"I think the player has already decided to leave, I think he's going to leave," Townsend told Debate on Sky Sports.
"Once a player has arrived at this point, I do not think you play contract poker with the club. I think you have already made your decision about what you are doing.
"I think Eriksen enjoyed his stay with the Spurs and, yes, there is a new dawn around the corner with the new stadium and so on.
"But you'll always have one or two going out of there. I think he'll be the first to leave. "
Recent reports have indicated that James Maddison of Leicester City is serving Mauricio Pochettino.
The English international, who has five goals and four badists in the Premier League, joined Leicester last summer for £ 22m.
Maddison is thought to be able to command twice as much as he had to leave King Power Stadium.
But Townsend thinks the Spurs should buy a No. 10 caliber to replace Eriksen.
He added, "I love James Maddison. He arrived and adapted very well to life in the Premier League.
"He showed he could finish, he's very good with his board games, he's smart. Is he in Eriksen's clbad? No, he's a mile from that.
"He still has a lot to do before being in the same breath as Eriksen. But he is younger and he is a developing player.
"This is the kind of player that interests Pochettino, he likes the types of guys he can improve and add to their repertoire.
"I understand the point, but I do not think it can work at Eriksen level."
Ian McGarry, a transfer expert, says Barca is particularly interested in the Danish international Eriksen.
He told the Transfer Window podcast: "Barcelona has already made contact with its representatives to consider an agreement that would more than double its salary, which currently stands at around £ 67,000 a week.
"He's already turned down £ 110,000 a week in Tottenham, I think it's somewhere between £ 115,000 and £ 200,000, which in the current market would tell me it's worth every penny.
"Barcelona is interested, of course, you must always mention Real Madrid because it is suitable for all players worthy of the name.Be again, I come back to the need for Bayern Munich to have a midfielder central, from a creative midfielder. [Adrien] Rabiot too.
