The Citizens' boss came under fire from Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino for comments he made about Spurs in October 2017 as he read the 'Harry Kane team'.
Guardiola admitted in October 2018 that he was wrong to give Spurs that label.
And in his pre-match press conference, Guardiola refused to make the same comments.

Guardiola also reiterated his point that the original comments were meant to compliment Kane.
He said: "No I can not say that [Spurs are the ‘Harry Kane team’] or Mauricio will be angry and I do not want it.
"I think my colleague misunderstood me in that period.
"I know Spurs is not just Harry Kane, the club is strong and has a lot of potential. They are strong in all departments.
"It's an incredible team, Harry Kane, who can not care less. He is a modern striker but we do not know him. "
