The fate of the Tottenham Champions League for the 2019-20 season began to be traced after the conclusion of the Champions League final.
Pot 1 includes the champions of each of the six best leagues in Europe; England, Italy, Spain, Germany, France and Russia – as well as the winners of the Champions League and the Europa League.
As three English teams are designated for the draw in the group stage, the Spurs can face only five teams: Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain or Zenit St. Petersburg.
The pots two, three and four are all determined by the UEFA coefficient ranking and, as the qualifying stages are not yet complete, the complete list and configuration of these pots are not yet confirmed.
However, it is already guaranteed that Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Naples and Real Madrid are in the second pot, which means that Mauricio Pochettino's team will not be able to play against them, while Benfica and Lyon could end up in this pot.
Bayer Leverkusen, Inter Milan and Valencia could be tough opponents.
