It seems that artist Christo has found the iconic glbad cube of the Apple store in Fifth Avenue. Too bad for all the tourists who came to photograph one of the most popular attractions of the Big Apple.
They will work outdoors aimlessly for a while as the glbad cube is removed and replaced.
That's what happened to a Twitter user @ esk89 who took the picture above, wondering, "Apple, what are you doing? Where is the cube? "
It will be interesting to see if sales are likely to shrink – this Apple store has outperformed its neighbors like Tiffany, selling the equivalent of a Mercedes-Benz C300 in an iPod, MacBook and iPhone at the square foot.
Between this renovation and the temporary closure of the Soho store, summer can be cruel for New York visitors.
