The young journalist Manbadeh Azure has finally announced her resignation from the Multimedia group.

Many observers and consumers of media products have long expected this development, as credible indicators reveal. Multimedia betrayed their employee.

His documentary on the militia and related issues of vigilance in the castle jostled the government that responded with a wave of denials.

A recent questionable decision by the National Media Commission stated that his documentary was misleading and unethical.

According to sources, Manbadeh feels betrayed because Joy FM, a member of the Multimedia group, did not support the journalist when government firearms were deployed to discredit his work.

His life was threatened following the documentary on the militia and he had to flee to South Africa to seek asylum.

In his resignation letter at the sight of Ghanacrusader, Manbadeh thanked the management for helping him during his stay at Multimedia. He revealed that he would embark on independent investigative journalism and book writing.

The full text of his letter of resignation is reproduced below:

I wish to announce my resignation from the Multimedia group.

I thank the management of the company for giving me the opportunity to work with what I consider to be Ghana's most credible, influential, hard-hitting and audacious media organization. I thank them for their support and encouragement during all these years. There is no doubt that if I were to work again in a newspaper company in Ghana, I would choose The Multimedia Group.

I would also like to thank all those who have supported me in various ways since November 2012, when I joined the Multimedia group. To the audience of The Multimedia Group and the sources who have helped me in my work, I am eternally grateful.

I will continue to serve Ghana as an independent investigative journalist and devote more time to writing books.
