Trailer 'Rambo V': Rambo has the horses at the back

Sylvester Stallone is 72 years old and he is not finished with John Rambo. Stallone first played the character of Rambo – a Vietnamese super soldier who becomes a disrupted and traumatized veteran and then becomes a super soldier again – in First blood, 37 years ago. He played the character in four different movies – the latest in 2008 Rambo, was the most violent studio major movie I've ever seen. It seemed crazy for Stallone to do the Rambo thing at that time. But it will not be the last time. This fall, Stallone will return to the screen in the ridiculous title Rambo V: last blood, in which Rambo apparently will attack Mexican drug cartels. And if you watch the trailer unveiled today, you may hear something familiar.

In almost all the trailers of these great movies of the last years, we heard a strange minor version of an instantly recognizable song. It is as much a trailer as the narrator with the deep voice "in a world …". But the Rambo V The trailer gave this treatment to the song that remains the No. 1 single in America. Lil Nas X and "Old Town Road" by Billy Ray Cyrus, a jovial novelty of country rap about being a cowboy with Wranglers on your loot and lean in your bladder, now has some dramatic strings and guitars crunch-rock, and soundtracks of John Rambo's images pulling his bow and arrow on the shit. Rambo has horses in the back! observe:

For a very different experience of the "Old City", enjoy this video of Lil Nas X that surprises a room filled with extremely enthusiastic elementary students:

I'm proud to say that I've written a lot about both First blood and Rambo: First Blood, Part II, if you feel that you need more context on the whole situation of Rambo.
