The very first match of Unai Emery at the head of Arsenal was against Manchester City.
And the first game of Denis Suarez as a Gunners player could be against the Citizens as the North London club goes to the north to face the Premier League champions of last season.
Things have not been ideal for Arsenal recently because of the number of injuries he has suffered on the back. In addition, snow disrupted team training preparations on Friday and vehicles were needed to clear the sites.
Here are five things we noticed during the session as Suarez met his new teammates – and his teammates made snowballs!
1. Show a great concentration
While everyone – naturally – took advantage of the snow Friday, Suarez is the newcomer.
As such, he has shown incredible determination to ignore the frost around him and show his new teammates what he could do.
2. Training delayed?
It only takes a little snow in the UK to sink into chaos.
And while Arsenal boasts a training ground full of high-tech equipment, they still needed old diggers to clean the fluffy white stuffs.
We can only badume that the players were forced to wait in the beautiful and warm London Colney Inns while the snow was out of place.
3. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is recovering
The Armenian midfielder has been injured in the foot in recent weeks but is expected to return for the Gunners this weekend.
It's unclear whether Emery will choose Mkhitaryan now that he has new options in the midfield, but he's badured that his boss knew he was ready.
4. Mesut Ozil abandoned the snood
Ozil stayed at Arsenal in January despite his remoteness from the Gunners.
Some claimed that he was lacking in motivation and that he was struggling to survive during the winter months, but he kissed the snow on Friday.
5. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on target
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the one who took advantage of the snow. The Gabonese striker was stopped by throwing a snowball just before training.
Given the deadly accuracy of the attacker with his feet, we can only badume that he is identical with his hands.
At 29, you would not want to fight in a snowball fight.
