Manchester United is about to sign a contract with Thomas Meunier. Arsenal will become the Parisian defender of Paris Saint-Germain.
The 27-year-old Belgian international is expected to leave the French champions this summer after being frustrated by his role at Parc des Princes.
After participating in his country's third place at last year's World Cup final, Meunier played 90 minutes on just 18 occasions for PSG in 2018-19.
He also angered the club officials after his trip to England to attend a United game last season and see his return to Paris delayed.
Now in Belgium, DH declares that Meunier – who has not hid in the past that he is a fan of United since his childhood – is about to move to Old Trafford, an agreement that can be reached in the coming weeks.
United's boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is planning a summer reshuffle and a new rear end is part of his agenda.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka was the # 1 target, and United remains enthusiastic if he becomes available.
But as Crystal Palace is determined to keep the English international under 21, he seems ready to stay at Selhurst Park, Solskjaer has also looked elsewhere for a new first choice.
And Miller, available for an additional £ 22 million, is perfectly suited.
United are without football in the Champions League next season, after a dismal season ending that left them sixth in the Premier League.
But Meunier is excited to move, having slipped in the hierarchy under Thomas Tuchel.
And PSG is a good seller because it seeks to balance its accounts.
A meeting with Unai Emery at Arsenal had been envisaged, the Spaniard having worked with Meunier in the French capital.
But the Gunners have a limited budget this summer and are happy to stay with Ainsley Maitland-Niles until Hector Bellerin returns from injury after his next term.
