The 30-year-old joins Rayados after spending half a season with the yellow submarine
Lateral Mexican backer Miguel Layun joined the Liga MX team in Monterrey, the club said.
Aged 30, he returned from Villarreal to Mexico where he played 15 appearances in all competitions this season after leaving Porto in July 2018.
Layun left his home country in 2014, when he left Club America to join Grenada on the La Liga side.

The defender would never play for Granada, but rather for Watford, Porto, Seville and more recently Villarreal during his stay in Europe.
Earlier in his career, Layun had a brief spell at Atalanta, where he became the first Mexican to play in the A-Series.
Layun has been selected 69 times by Mexico, representing El Tri at the 2014 and 2018 World Cups.

The back side joins a Monterrey squad who are at the top of the La Liga MX chart early in the season, having won three wins and a draw in his first four Clausura games.
