The transport rates have been increased by 10%. This takes effect on Monday, September 16, 2019.

This increase would affect intercity transport, commonly known as Trotro, as well as long distance vehicles and shared taxes.

The new tariffs were established following consultations between the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), the Ghana Road Transport Coordination Council and the Ministry of Transport.

According to them, they took into account the rise in prices in the various components of commercial transport services in the country, including petroleum products, to make this decision.

GPRTU President Kwame Kuma told JOYBUSINESS that all drivers are required to respect approved fares, a copy of which is attached.
