Tristan Thompson pays tribute to True and his shoes after a fraud scandal and separates from Khloe Kardashian

He has been the focus of much controversy in recent weeks due to his fraud scandal and his eventual split with Khloe Kardashian.

But despite the trials and tribulations, Tristan Thompson still has his heart (and his feet) in the right place.

The 28-year-old Cleveland Cavaliers striker paid tribute to his 11-month-old True daughter, True, with her sneakers during a game against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night.

His Nike Lebron James Soldier XI sneakers were fully personalized in purple because "TRUE" is adorned with a shoe and "PRINCE" on the other.

Tristan is also a father to his son Prince, born of his relationship with his ex, Jordan Craig.

The shoes were painted purple to commemorate Purple Day (March 26th), an event intended to educate the world about epilepsy and dispel myths and widespread fears about this neurological disorder.

He has published photos of his nikes while drawing attention to the Toronto Epilepsy organization with the caption: "Today is a special day for me and these kicks are very special for me. @epilepsytoronto #PurpleDay #MyMotivation #PurpleDayTO. & # 39;

The tribute took place at an interesting time, as it was recently claimed that ex-Khloe was furious with him for not having made the effort of their daughter.

According to Us Weekly, the The 34-year-old clothing designer is increasingly "unhappy" with Tristan's attitude and feels that he is completely "past" from his family.

The couple split up in February after kissing Kylie Jenner's best friend, Jordyn Woods. Tristan first cheated Khloe a few weeks before True's birth.

Meanwhile, Khloe went back on his claim that Jordyn separated his family, saying that Tristan was also responsible.

She tweeted: & # 39;Tristan is also to blame but Tristan is the father of my child. No matter what he does to me, I will not do that to my daughter.

& # 39; He approached this situation privately. If Tristan was lying publicly about what conspired, then yes, I would talk to him publicly too.

"It has been a terrible week and I know everyone is tired of hearing all of this (just like me). I am a roller coaster of emotions and I have said things that I should not have. Honestly, Tristan deceiving and humiliating me was not such a shock as the first time.

"What has been harder and more painful, is to be hurt by someone so close to me." Someone I like & treats like a little sister.

"But Jordyn is not to blame for separating my family. It was Tristan's fault.

It's far from being Tristan's first time in hot water faced with infidelity.

Last April, DailyMail.com released a video of the basketball player who gets noticed by a pair of women in a hookah salon in Washington DC.

The video, which dates from October 2017, was unearthed just days before the birth of him and Khloe's daughter.

The scandal then intensified as another video, showing this time Thompson going to a New York hotel with a different woman, was becoming public.
