A low bed truck bound for Tema loaded with what looks like scrap metal is reported stuck under the Hong Kong walkway on the George Walker Bush Expressway.
According to a Ghana Police Service Facebook post, Odorkor MTTD staff are currently on scene to direct and assist approaching motorists.
Efforts are underway to remove the vehicle which got stuck about an hour ago.
“In the meantime, the driver of the truck has been arrested by the police to help with the investigation. In addition, Greater Accra, Regional Director of Maintenance, Ghana Highways Authority is on scene to assist police with on-site investigations, ”parts of the post read.
Approaching motorists have therefore been advised to drive carefully at reduced speed.
“Further updates will be released,” police said.
