What follows is an inevitably heartbreaking but also affirmative portrayal of Amy Winehouse as she journeyed through adolescence, reckless hedonism, precocious fame, and, ultimately, addiction. Gibraltar: Although tiny, the name itself is loaded with romance. Tonight, Hughes delves into a pair of subterranean wonders: the ‘Cave to Stay Behind’ where Ian Fleming orchestrated a wartime plot, and the Vanguard Cave, home to the world’s first evidence of the Neanderthal art. Ali catterall

Another double bill from the grim Swedish real crime drama examining the long-running 1989 child murder investigation. Cut to 1997 and thorny cop Åkesson (Anders Beckman) thinks he’s got a new angle on it. case and a new plausible suspect. But his bosses seem more interested in the administration of human resources. September 11: four flights
9 p.m., History of the sky
What happened in these planes? It’s a sinister question to contemplate, but this doc hears the families and friends of those who died on September 11, 2001. Additionally, there are testimonies from cabin crew, passengers, and air traffic controllers trying to understand the situation from the ground. PH
Paul O’Grady’s Saturday night program
9:35 p.m., ITV
This new show sees celebrities trying to guess what audiences think of them. Jack Dee, Mica Paris, Rob Rinder, and Joanna Page report plenty of fun anecdotes, but O’Grady’s fearless streak is still here and he’s never far from a risky twist that makes the loudest laugh. Hannah verdier
