Twitter Inc announced Friday that one of its co-founders, Evan Williams, would step down as a member of his board of directors at the end of the month.

Williams, who also announced the move in a series of tweets, is currently the managing director of the Medium online publishing website and has also held the position of CEO of Twitter.
