The brothers who were riding a bicycle had gone to fetch a birthday cake for Sabir’s son in the town of Nepanagar, about 320 km from Bhopal, on the evening of Monday June 28, and were returning home when they experienced their near-death experience.

Firoz and Sabir were driving home to the village of Goradia on their bikes when they got a close shave to death after coming face to face with a huge leopard.

According to The Times of India, the brothers were on their backs to get home when the leopard bounced from nowhere and started chasing them.

The brothers told reporters the leopard jumped out of the cane fields and started to catch up with their motorbike.

Times of India went on to report that the brothers tried to speed up but the leopard passed them as they waded down the muddy village road.

The leopard caught up with him so quickly that he pawed on the motorbike, leaving large scuffs behind.

One of the brothers, Sabir, decided to do something unusual when the leopard’s claws tore the box containing his son’s birthday cake.

Acting quickly, Samir decided to throw the cake at the leopard, hitting him in the face.

The smart move acted as a sweet distraction as the wildcat couldn’t figure out what hit him and rushed into the sugar cane fields.

The two brothers didn’t return home with the cake as originally planned but definitely collected a unique story to tell at the birthday party.

At first, many people, including the forest service, were unsure whether it was a leopard that had attacked the brothers.

However, their fears were confirmed when they finally found leopard tracks on the stretch.
