Rex Agumey and Henry Sencherey have been charged with stolen property and conspiracy
Two Ghanaians were arrested in Middletown, Connecticut, America, for leading a network of stolen luxury cars.
Henry Sencherey, 39, and Rex Agumey, 49, working in a garage on West Lake Street, were charged with theft and conspiracy.
Police began investigating the garage last month after learning that it was used to ship stolen cars overseas.
After obtaining a search warrant, the police searched the garage and seized stolen cars that they thought would be shipped to Ghana.
Among the cars seized during the search, there was a Maserati, an Audi and a BMW stolen in New Jersey and in Illinois.
According to court documents, an undercover officer saw one of the suspects driving the 2017 Maserati gray carrying Delaware tags in the garage Tuesday night.
The documents also revealed that Rex Agumey had told the police that he was going to drive the cars to a New Jersey port.
It is believed that both men are part of an international network of thieves.
