Two government officials set up development chiefs in Sankana

Sankana (U / WR),
April 16, GNA – Mr. Daniel Titus-Glover, Deputy Minister of Transport and Member of Parliament
Tema East with Mr. Kofi Osei-Ameyaw, Director General of Ghana
The Lotteries Authority and the former MP for Asuogyaman have been integrated into the development
leaders for Sankana.

Titus-Glover was
Saabogu Naa or King of Development, while Osei-Ameyaw was
given Piire Naa or the king of the rocks.

They were conferred
the titles of chieftaincies during the Kalibi Festival ceremony which was about
the theme: "Ghana beyond help, the role of traditional leaders".

Naa Pagranige
Saakoe Mornah III, supreme chief of the traditional Sankana region, conferring the
chieftaincy titles on both officials described their contributions to
development of Sankana as an important and deserved recognition.

Saabogu Naa Daniel
Titus-Glover beamed with incessant smiles and thanked the chefs for the "great
Title ".

He badured the
people's support for the community by ensuring employment
opportunities have been created for the people.

Piire Naa Kofi
Osei-Ameyaw, meanwhile, said that ALN would soon launch a new program
which would be put to the test in Sankana to enrich the youth.

He said that some of
youth would be recruited as security personnel to monitor illegal lottery operations.

"The development of
this area is so dear to my heart and I would make sure that the job opportunities
are created for young people in the region and beyond, "he said.

The two new
development officials donated 5,000 GH ¢ each, while Mr. Chinnia donated 1,000 GHC
in support of the celebration.

Mr Bernard Mornah,
President of the National People's Convention (PNC), called on the government and
Ghana Education Service (GES) to introduce new programs that would allow
students to learn the culture of their respective communities.

"How can you learn
the culture of another person when you do not understand cultural values
and the standards of your people, "he questioned.
