The Mile 7 District Police Command in Accra arrested two people who allegedly killed a man in Alhaji, near Tabora, Accra.

Derrick Nana Donkor, 28, and Akosua Osei Keshia, 30, reportedly shot and killed Kwame Agyapong, 30, who is said to have been Keshia's ex-boyfriend.

According to the police, Kwame Adjapong died on the spot in Keshia's house.

Effia Tenge, Accra Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, told DAILY GUIDE that the sad incident occurred around 1 am on Sunday, July 7th.

She said the two defendants went to the police after allegedly killing Agyapong.

The police officer said that the police investigation had revealed that Kwame Adjapong had often badaulted Keshia whenever he had seen her with another man.

"On Sunday, July 7, 2019, Akosua Keshia was with Derrick Donkor around Mile Park 7 and, when the deceased spotted them, he forwarded them to Akosua's house in Alhaji.

"In Akosua's house, there was a misunderstanding between Derrick Donkor and Kwame Adjapong. Derrick, who was then armed with a pistol, fired the gun and fired several times in the air. One of the bullets allegedly touched Adjapong, which would have resulted in his death. The weapon has since been recovered by the police, "she said.

"The two men are currently in detention and badisting us in our investigations, but the body of the deceased person was dropped off at the police hospital morgue to be kept there and autopsied," she said. added.
