Sweet breakfast cereals
According to health experts, eating sweet breakfast cereals is actually the worst way to start the day if you have type 2 diabetes.
Diabetes UK said on its website: "Some cereals that may sound healthy are not always as good for you as they seem.
"They can contain large amounts of free sugars and are less rich in fiber." In addition, sweet breakfast cereals provide very little protein.
Packaged snacks
Foods such as pretzels, crackers and other packaged items are not a good choice for type 2 diabetics. These foods are often prepared with refined flour and provide very little nutrients.
