Tyson recalls 69,000 lbs of chicken strips on possible metal contamination

(Gray News) – Tyson Foods recalls 69,000 pounds of chicken strips, as some of them could be contaminated with pieces of metal.

According to the United States Department of Agriculture, the products in question were manufactured on November 30, 2018 and sold in 25-pound plastic bags or in 20-pound boxes.

The following products are likely to be recalled:

– 25 oz. Frozen plastic "Tyson FROZEN STYLE CHICKEN CHICKEN BREAST STRIPS BAGS WITH RIBBED MEAT AND BUFFALO STYLE SAUCE" with "BEST USE ON 30 NOVEMBER 2019", codes 3348CNQ0317 and 3348CNQ0318 and 00 at 18:59 (included).

– 25 ounces plastic pouches of "Tyson CHICKEN CHICKEN CHICKEN CHICKEN FRITTERS FULLY COOKED WITH COOKED MEAT", stamped "BEST IF USED ON NOVEMBER 30, 2011", codes 3348CNQ0419, 3348CNQ0420, 3348CNQ04O and 2948CQ , developing 00 to 22:59 (included).

– 20 lb case of frozen "CHICKEN BREAST CHICKEN CHICKEN BANDS WITH CHICKEN BREAST CHEST AND BUFFALO STYLE SAUCE" with "BEST SI USED AS OF NOVEMBER 30, 2019" and code 3348CNQ03.
Retail stores across the United States have received the recalled strips.

Anyone wearing the recalled strips should discard them or return them to the store where they were purchased.
