Among the strong African voices are Tony Elumelu, chairman of the United Bank Group for Africa (UBA), Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka; Professor emeritus and authority in Sahelian history, Djibril Tamsir Niane; Ghanaian politician Samia Nkrumah and famous musician Femi Kuti spoke at the first edition of Africa Conversations of UBA, a symposium organized by the United Bank for Africa (UBA) at UBA House in Lagos, in the setting of activities marking the Africa Day celebration.
The theme of the round table was "The History of Africa Redefined, Our Past, The Way of the Future".

Samia Nkrumah, Kwame Nkrumah's daughter from Ghana, who praised UBA for prioritizing African entrepreneurship, called for a new attempt at African unity that she believes should be a collective effort People.
Nkrumah said: "If we work in our small individual countries, it will be easier to do more if we work together and complete unification will only be possible if we work together. we will not go anywhere if we do not use unity as a political project, "she added.
Femi Kuti emphasized the importance of history by stating, "Our children must learn this story so they can climb and build the continent. We need everyone, boys and girls, to make this vision a reality. "
UBA Conversations, an initiative of the pan-African financial institution, aims to consolidate the discussions necessary for the growth and development of the continent. It is organized as part of the activities marking the 2019 edition of the celebration of Africa Day by the bank.
