The UBA Foundation, the CSR branch of the United Bank for Africa, launched the UBA Community Service Day, as part of the "Each One Teach One" initiative on Friday, November 23, 2018.

This initiative offers all UBA staff members on the African continent an opportunity to give back to the community in its own way by helping disadvantaged children and young children develop skills that can generate income. The initiative is also part of the Foundation's priorities: economic empowerment, environment, education and special projects.

Staff from UBA Ghana offices across the country were deployed in various communities as they joined their peers across Africa in the UBA group's initiative to give back to their communities. Some of the activities that have taken place include reading and book donation, entrepreneurial and financial inclusion skills, first aid training, photography training, makeup training, gardening and landscaping, among others.

The UBA Foundation is convinced that being socially responsible is essential and recognizes the human capital of the Bank as a valuable tool for building the community. The Foundation also believes that encouraging employees to volunteer for a cause that is important to them contributes more to employee development, increases team spirit, and increases employee morale. employees.
