Enoch Akondor has committed suicide because he was ashamed of not having graduated with his colleagues
A final-year student at the University of Development Studies (UDS), Wa Campus committed suicide in Wa, confirmed MyNewsGh.com, the regional capital of the Upper West.
Enoch Akondor, who is preparing for the BSC in Development Planning, thinks he has reached his late twenties and has committed suicide after it has been proven that he had attended several courses and that, as a result he might not be able to graduate with his colleagues.
Shamefully, he committed suicide Saturday night in his hotel room drinking a toxic liquid substance, but his body was discovered by colleagues Sunday morning.
According to them, he is always the first to get up from the hostel but they were shocked. He showed no sign at 6:30 am, which prompted them to knock on the door, but there was still no answer.
The services of a carpenter from Bamahu were solicited. They entered the room to be greeted with the dead body of Enoch who, prior to his death, was preparing to enroll in clbades for the term on Monday, January 28, 2019.
According to our sources, he allegedly drank a bottle of a liquid substance presumed to be poison, which would have caused foaming around his mouth and traces of blood on the premises.
The death of CK while he is affectionately called among his colleagues has since been reported to the Wa police, who confirmed it to MyNewsGh.com, but says that the body was dropped off at the morgue then that investigations are in progress.
The UDS Campus Wa authorities have not yet formally commented on the changing situation. The deceased did not leave any suicide note to the police to give him clues as to the cause of his act.
Meanwhile, MyNewsGh.com saw his last discussion on a group page on social media where he encourages his colleagues to be strong and to console themselves in God.
