JUVENTUS
Cristiano Ronaldo's decision outside of Juventus was to end a 23-year wait for a third European title.
It works so far.
Ronaldo made another decisive career showing, scoring a hat trick against Atletico Madrid to cancel his 2-0 defeat in the first leg. His legal problems in the United States, where he was charged with rape, seemed a distant world. Ronaldo wants to join Seedorf as the only players to win the European Cup or the Champions League with three different clubs. The veteran defenders of Juventus, Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci, as well as his coach Mbadimiliano Allegri, just want a first title after losing in the finals in 2015 and '17.

LIVERPOOL
Finalist of last season and again in the quarterfinals, Liverpool is back at the top of the European rankings.
The mature way the five European champions faced Bayern Munich in their 3-1 away win in the last 16 showed how much they have gone under Juergen Klopp in the last two years .
It was therefore logical that the goal of Virgil van Dijk was decisive for Munich, with the arrival of the center for $ 99 million in January 2018, reinforcing a fragile defense for two years at the head of Klopp. Liverpool also now has a world clbad goalkeeper in the Brazilian international Alisson Becker. Few people will like to go to Anfield in the last eight. Just ask Manchester City, eliminated 3-0 in the first leg last year, to put an end to its ambitions in the Champions League.

MANCHESTER CITY
This season seems to be the best chance for City to become European champion since it was taken over by its owners in Abu Dhabi in 2008.
Not a novice in the Champions League, City is in the quarter-finals for the third time in four years.
The depth of Pep Guardiola's team feeds a challenge for an unprecedented four-time trophy, having already won the English League Cup. The city has benefited from scrapes, Schalke becoming the weakest option of the sixteen. City won 10-2 in two sets.
A two-legged quarterfinal against Liverpool, his rival in the Premier League, or Manchester United, his neighbor, would be an incredible experience.
MANCHESTER UNITED
Twenty years after scoring United's winning goal in a Champions League final, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to lead the team to the title as manager. After his incredible return to Paris Saint-Germain after a 2-0 defeat in the first leg, who would bet against them?
There is a sense of "nothing to lose" about United, who was a huge underdog in qualifying for the round of 16 under Jose Mourinho.
Solskjaer restored some of the team's confidence and swagger attack in three months. See especially Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku. It may not be enough for a fourth European title, but it should be fun to watch.
PORT
Porto is perhaps the team that everyone in the draw wants to face. Trained by former player Sergio Conceicao, Porto is looking to go beyond the quarter-finals for the first time since 2004, when Jose Mourinho led the team to his second title.
Porto has flavors of South America and Mexico in the team, as well as a foundation of veterans of Madrid, winner of the Champions League: the goalkeeper of 37 years, Iker Casillas, and 36-year-old defender Pepe, who returned to his former club in January.
Like Liverpool, Porto has a strong African influence in attacking Malian striker Moussa Marega, his top scorer, with six goals scored in the competition.
TOTTENHAM
Tottenham are in the quarter-finals only for the second time, although he has not bought any players in the past year.
This highlights the extraordinary work of coach Mauricio Pochettino with a tight-knit team – starring England striker Harry Kane and Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen – and an increasingly tight budget .
The new Tottenham stadium, built on the site of its former White Hart Lane in North London, should finally be able to host a Champions League match after the construction delays and security problems that lasted the entire season.
If Tottenham is selected at home for the first leg on 9 and 10 April, he could even officially open the new arena.
