The board of directors of the University of Winneba Education (STE) is expected to hold an emergency council meeting on Monday, March 18, 2019 in order to resolve the stalemate between some speakers and the vice-chancellor of the university.

The tension swept through the school last week following the dismissal of some keynote speakers by vice-chancellor Reverend Father, Professor A. Afful-Broni, as students engage in protest days against the relocation .

Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong led a delegation to instruct Education Minister Mathew Opoku Prempeh to appease him.

But a statement released by the UEW board chair, MyNewsGh.com, hints at a hint about the meeting that reads: "The university's board of directors Education, Winneba, has noted with concern recent events occurring on our campuses, particularly with regard to agitations turning into violence on life and property.
