UFC President Dana White was surprised by Aalon Cruz's knee injury.

UFC President, Dana White, has not wasted time in handing over a contract to his featherweight, Aalon Cruz, as a result of his spectacular shutdown on the latest contender series card.

While there was only 30 seconds left in what was a back-and-forth affair with Steven Nguyen, Cruz connected to a perfectly executed flying knee that made his opponent sleep before he hit the canvas.

The acrobatic movement left everyone in the arena stunned, including White who immediately made a gesture of signature with his hands as the cameras headed for his seat at the edge of the cage.

The Contender Series by Dana White offers mixed martial artists an opportunity to break into the UFC. Cruz's contract was formalized at the end of the card, along with three other fighters.
