The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is back in "Music City" TONIGHT (Saturday, March 23, 2019) with UFC Fight Night 148 on ESPN +, which will take place inside the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, in Tennessee. At the top of the card, former No. 1 welterweight contender, Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson, tries to come back in the 170-poundweight race by trading shots with the old Lightweight champion, Anthony "Showtime" Pettis. Curtis "Razor" Blaydes will try to get rid of his recent defeat at the expense of Justin "Big Pretty" Willis. In addition, Luis Pena – affectionately nicknamed "Violent Bob Ross" – is back from featherweight against Steven "Ocho" Peterson.

Pena uses it to reach the leading position, but Peterson can only lock an armband. Pena makes her way and takes a position above Peterson. Peterson turns for a leglock, nothing to do. Lateral control for Pena. Two minutes after. Peterson returns to the guard. Pena squeezes him with punches up, then with a knee and a right hand. Nasty elbow of Pena. There are only two minutes left.

Swap knees. Peterson's right hand, avoiding a takedown. Pena pumps her jab after their separation. Peterson with a right down, takes a straight line to the left and lands a kick. Pena tries a flying knee. There is only one minute left. Peterson is still leading the standings, cut by a left with a minute to go. Another 1-2 by Pena. Peterson left. Round 2: Pena starts with a kick in front, pushing back Peterson who tries to interpose. Peterson stays on him and drops him against the fence. Turn 3: Peterson returns in close combat, eats one knee and hits the break. Uppercuts of Pena. Peterson returns to the melee, Pena presses the switch. More shots land for Pena on the way up. Peterson low kick and he bends down for another takedown attempt. Pena penetrates deep into a kimura, but loses it and wraps it in the bottom of the guard. He slips quickly into the first position. Peterson throws an armband and Pena's postures come out. Peterson then turns for a leg. Pena responds with punches, stands up and hits him on the head. There is only one minute left. 125 lbs: J.J. Aldrich vs. Maycee Barber

Round 1: Aldrich pressing early, knees and avoids a combination. Huge right left falls Barber! Barber appears, then falls back to his guard. One minute. Stiff jab and 1-2 of Aldrich. The elbow and the right hook touch the barber on the inside. Disc 1-2 of Barber. Against right by Aldrich, good shot that Barber launches. Two minutes. Barber jab, Aldrich 1-2. Mitchell is looking to take the back in the race. Two minutes later, Moffett finished first, but Mitchell immediately grabbed a triangle. Mitchell changing to an armband. Moffett escapes and they get back on their feet with two minutes to go.

Mitchell shoots against the fence. They are separating. Combination of Moffett, Mitchell's kick. There is only one minute left. Counter uppercut by Mitchell while he denies a takedown. Good kick and right right in a takedown attempt. Moffett defends himself on the cage. Jockeying for the position. 10-9 Mitchell.

Round 2: Moffett hits a takedown early. Mitchell goes to the fence. Looking for a kimura per minute. Moffett searches for the back, Mitchell presses the switch and separates. 135 lbs: Frankie Saenz vs. Marlon Vera

Round 1: Vera hits the leg and body early. Kick Saenz. Vera's left leg kick and left hook, Saenz tries a right pbad. Knee of Vera, uppercut of Saenz. Saenz tries again to load and gets smoked by a jab. Saenz looks for a leg, her legs are not there and Vera hits the back of her head until the referee intervenes.

Final result: Vera def. Saenz of TKO (punches)


125 lbs: Alexis Davis against. Jennifer Maia

Round 1: They trade in the center. Good luck Maia. Davis takes a corpse and takes him to the fence. One minute in. Knees to the body. Davis's elbow at the break. Maia landed on one knee and brought her back to the cage. Two minutes. More Davis knees. Maia suddenly breaks out of melee with a bad combination. Davis is guarding. 135 lbs: Chris Gutierrez vs. Ryan MacDonald

Round 1: Low kicks from Gutierrez to start. Counter clockwise, checks MacDonald's low kick and looks for a kick from the switch. Exchange of legs. A minute later. Gutierrez is already doing damage with his kicks. Body shot connects. Another. Right hand to the body. Two minutes after. The wheel hit is simply missing, the leg kick is plugged. The left right line is short, the kick checked. There are only two minutes left.
