All those who have been in contact with cases confirmed Thursday have followed the 21 days of mandatory follow-up without developing any signs or symptoms of the disease, the statement said.
"Currently, there is no one under follow-up, which means that the transmission of Ebola virus in Kasese District has actually been interrupted by the country's disease response mechanism," the statement said.
According to the statement, the ministry has stepped up efforts to detect any intrusion of Ebola into the country.
"With the increasing number of confirmed cases in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Uganda remains in a high state of alert.
"All travelers are advised to observe all Ebola prevention measures as indicated by the health authorities," the statement said.
The Ebola outbreak in Uganda was confirmed on June 11 after a five-year-old boy, who had returned from his visit to neighboring DRC, tested positive for the disease. Since the outbreak, three cases have been confirmed, including the reference case. All three are dead.
