Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni will travel from his rural home to the capital, Kampala, on Thursday, making several stops in major cities.
President Museveni – who won re-election last week – will make a total of seven stops on his route.
Government spokesman Ofwono Opondo detailed the trip in a tweet:

The president’s victory lap comes as the government called for the lifting of house arrest for opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi, the politician-turned-pop star known as Bobi Wine, who rejected the election results.
The United States has called for an investigation into allegations of electoral irregularities by the opposition, which has yet to file a petition.
Opposition offices were raided by the military, and party officials say the materials they were collecting for the petition were confiscated.
