But, speaking recently, Amanda revealed that she was actually rather flattered by all the hoo-ha and thought her age was "totally out of place".

She said Sunday mail magazine: "I love the fact that people still talk about my old tired bads and I'm almost 50 years old!

"Nobody talks about Alesha Dixon – she has great bads, by the way – and she's eight years younger than me."

She added: "Age is totally out of place.

"Thanks to people like J-Lo, who is 49 years old and is just a bady and bady woman who dresses for what she feels."

Amanda's comments come as she recently attracted Ofcom's complaints of a different kind during the Britain has Talent 2019 semi-finals.

Taking part in the Haunting Act, Amanda drew 192 complaints after being filmed swearing live after being surprised.

And, speaking recently, she also revealed how Simon Cowell reacted to this slippage.
