The UK will launch a visa program to employ truck drivers. The move follows a severe shortage of transport trucks which has left cars stranded in long lines at gas stations.
A combination of the Covid pandemic and Brexit has left transport companies struggling to recruit drivers.
Different government departments have discussed options with the industry, including the introduction of such visas, the BBC said.
