CLARKSBURG, W.VA – The United Hospital Center in Clarksburg is getting ready for the "Go Red for Women" day.
The "Go Red for Women" day of the American Heart Association will be held on February 1st.
Men and women dressed in red at the UHC posed for a promotional photo on Monday.
Doctors alongside Ms. West Virginia International claim that the event is designed to increase women's awareness of heart health.
"This is truly one of my historical interests for pets and I believe that cardiovascular medicine plays a vital role in recognition, diagnosis and screening," said Dr. Dean Wolz. "Not just treating women who have heart disease, but getting there before treatment."
