Ms. Stephanie S. Sullivan, US Ambbadador to Ghana, badured Ghana of her country's commitment to support initiatives that will facilitate trade between the two countries.
She said US investors would be encouraged to invest in key sectors of the Ghanaian economy to promote sustainable development.
Ms. Sullivan gave badurances when she paid a courtesy call to the State Council members in Accra last Tuesday.
The chairman of the board, Nana Otuo Siriboe II, chaired the meeting.
Other board members at the meeting included a former Chief Justice, Mrs. Georgina Theodora Wood; Nana Owusu Nsiah, former Inspector General of Police (IGP); a lawyer, Sam Okudzeto, and a former Ghana High Commissioner to Canada, Margaret Ivy Amoakohene.
The council explained how it works and its role in national development.

The ambbadador praised Ghana for using the knowledge and expertise of senior statesmen to contribute to the democratic governance of the country.
