"United to accelerate the development of Afigya-Kwabre South"

April 17, GNA – Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, President of Afigya-Kwabre South
Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), called party members
District Assembly and political party leaders unite to accelerate development
of the region.

He said that they
work closely with their leaders, opinion leaders and others
key stakeholders to initiate and implement concrete measures
improve the living conditions of the population.

Speaking to a
Interaction Ceremony with members of the South Afigya-Kwabre District Assembly
and coordinators of NPP polling stations in Kodie, Odeneho Appiah, said that the unit
was crucial to promote the rapid development of the district.

He said
development was a shared responsibility and it was necessary that the Assembly
members, party coordinators, leaders and other opinion leaders of the
communities working together to find solutions to the many challenges
in front of their people.

Odeneho Appiah
opposed members of the Assembly and local party leaders who badociate with their
people to indulge in acts of indiscipline, anarchy and public demonstrations
this led to the destruction of state property.

He advised them
abstain from such acts and use established procedures to resolve grievances
their communities.

Odeneho Appiah
told the leaders that people were turning to them to provide leadership to
help transform their lives for the better.

Mr Christian
Adu Poku, district director, said that a number of road networks in the
District had been awarded on contract for rehabilitation.

He emphasized the
need for the Assembly and party coordinators to raise public awareness about
development projects in the district to allow people to enjoy
government efforts to improve their living conditions.
