She added that the timely issuance of pbadports had facilitated the departure of the deportees on commercial flights, otherwise the United States had to organize charter flights or, in some cases, release those whose ultimate withdrawal had occurred. been ordained.
Sullivan said the United States would suspend the issuance of all new visas for national employees of Ghanaian diplomats living in the United States as of Monday.
The embbady would also limit the normal five-year validity period and a number of tourist and business visa seizures to all Ghanaian employees of the executive and legislative branches, their spouses and children under the age of majority. 21 years of age, single-entry visas valid for one month only.
"This will also apply to Ghanaians who are not government employees but hold diplomatic and official pbadports," she said.
She pointed out that the validity of visas, however, was different from the length of stay. Thus, the authorized length of stay of a visa holder who enters the United States before the expiry date of the visa of one month will not be affected.
Existing visa holders, student visa applicants, Ghanaian government officials on official business, as well as participants in official US government exchange programs are not affected at this time.

She warned that the scope of these limitations would include additional categories of people or would interrupt other types of visas if there was no progress in meeting the obligations in the coming months.
Responding to the concerns of some of the expellees who were not Ghanaian, she said that the Government of Ghana has the sovereign right to verify their identity as Ghanaians.
She said the United States would not force Ghana to take people who would have proved non-Ghanaian.
"We and the Government of Ghana are eager to solve this problem that has affected two administrations in Accra and Washington," she said.
