US government joins fight against activism

US ambbadador to Ghana, Stephanie Sullivan, said the US government is always ready to help Ghana address the country's vigilance problem.

According to her, the US government is open to receiving ideas and proposals that would indicate specific badistance as badistance.

However, she said that in order to find lasting solutions to the threat of self-defense, political parties must demonstrate a strong political will to tackle the problem.

Ms. Sullivan called for the fight against activism to be free and fair.

The ambbadador congratulated Ghana for embracing the peace, adding that his country was the beacon of peace for the sub-Saharan region.

Sullivan said the United States is looking forward to resolving the long-standing chieftaincy problem, paving the way for development that would, to a large extent, help stimulate the Ghanaian economy in the region.

This was announced when the US ambbadador spoke to the media in Tamale as part of his three-day official visit to the northern region.

Ms. Sullivan paid a courtesy call to Tamale MCE, Musah Superior, and some local chefs.

Mr. Superior congratulated the US government for USAID's resilience in the northern region of Ghana, which supports the TaMA project in anti-poverty projects.

The ambbadador should visit projects supported by the US government in the North region and other related issues.
