Use ADR to help us recover blocked investments – Menzgold customers

Some Menzgold customers have proposed an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) method to enable them to recover their blocked investments from the company.

At a press conference held in Accra on Wednesday, they argued that ADR was a sure way to get them their investments instead of the state's open criminal case against the general manager of Menzgold, better known as NAM 1.

Fred Forson, spokesperson for clients, said at the press conference: "We, CACM [Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold] pursue the lawsuits against NAM 1, except to recover our blocked investment. "

"We want to hear NAM1, we've always supported it and it's time to hear it … we want to demand from the CID that we want to meet Nana Appiah Mensah herself. Wherever he is, he needs to address us as Menzgold's customer managers, "said Mr. Forson.

Forson said clients believe the government is partnering with NAM1 to "steal and share" their investments.

"If it's not a deliberate attempt by the government to protect and protect Nana Appiah Mensah from looting, creating and sharing our investments, then the government should be transparent … and we let us know what is happening our investments. "

"We are really uncomfortable and alarmed by the fact that NAM1 has been placed in pre-trial detention for two long weeks despite the fact that the actual status of NAM1 is available," he said.
